What is OBAMA CARE?

Obama care, or The Affordable Care Act is a national healthcare plan enacted to reform the American healthcare system. The intention of the act is to provide affordable health insurance to the 45 million Americans who are currently uninsured.

Obama Care requires that all Americans have health insurance either through a private Insurance company or through a state assisted program. If you do not have health insurance you must pay a tax equal to 1% of your income in 2014 and 2.5% in 2016. Many states are implementing
the Affordable Care act with their own health care exchanges.
